Good to see another person from Ohio moving out here.

I live in Five Points and LOVE it. While it can be a little shady, I've never felt uncomfortable walking/biking through the streets at night. I have a great house close to the light rail and can walk or bike just about anywhere downtown.

With that said, capitol hill, uptown, and washington park would be areas I would also live in. Check out craigslist for apts and just set the max price to 1500. You will be able to find something amazing for that price range.

Also, if you are a Bengals fan, I've got a bar for you to watch the games at

thanks! i am an all cincinnati sports fan; mostly the reds. no one has mentioned five points as of yet. i currently live in covington, ky, so i don't mind a little bit of roughness. i'm headed out there (only for one day!) next week just to get a feel for the city and see what areas i might want to settle in. thanks for all of the good advice!

good luck! let me know how things work out! i'll be out there in december...
