Just curious to get the perspective of the readers of this forum. Where would you consider to be the best place for a new ice cream and gelato shop? One that makes real artisan gelato with imported Italian ingredients and not the cost-cutting ice cream ingredients that many of the shops use to make their 'gelato'. Looking for a spot with a lot of foot traffic, higher end demographics in terms of incomes and, preferably, in an old town downtown area like Arvada, Littleton, etc.

Opinions please?

Oh for Pete's Sake! I'll chime in. Have you looked at the Stapleton neighborhood of Denver? It was the first thing to come to mind when you said "Pleasantville." I don't know that it *perfectly* meets your criteria as many of the shops on 29th St are chain stores, but I'd love to see more local businesses in the area supplant them. Your main competition would be Cold Stone, but I'm gonna take a gamble and assume your ice cream / gelato beats out Bonnie Brae, so you should at least stand a chance! Also, there are two other "town center" areas planned in the Stapleton area pending economic improvements.
