Default Parker CO questions.

Is Parker a good place to move to if you are a construction superintendent? Is there alot of construction around the area?
How do you see the job market going in the next year? I would like to move to Parker at the end of 07.

Parker and castle rock have lots of residential construction projects going on now and in the foreseeable future.

the market is slow but steady, no "sky is falling" predictions.

Parker is a growing small town, with single family houses in the mid 200's for an average 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car garage with a partial basement. You can spend $220,000 or one point something million and everything in between.

Parker has big box store and mom and pop shoppes. Parker maintains it's wild west heritage, and everybody's need for modern amenities, like high speed dsl & cable.

It's not all flat, there are some nice rolling hills. Most of the housing has been built since the 1990's. They are building new in every price range.

Might add great bang for the buck in buying a home, low crime rates, and great Douglas County Schools. A popular place to live!

I've lived in Parker for awhile and absolutely love it.

Stores are nicer and cleaner than anywhere else in the metro area, crime is pretty much nil, schools are excellent.....i can't say enough good things about Parker...in my opinion, it is the best place to live near Denver.

Someone once asked me about parker's "bad area"; she figured that would tell her what parker is really like......in a nutshell, Parker is about the only place in the denver metro area that does not have a bad area....seriously....you can walk anywhere, at any time and have zero worries.

There are a bunch of restaurants (all really good), plenty of shopping, very little traffice, etc.

The only thing parker doesn't have is a decent electronics store....but there are CompUSA's and BestBuy's fairly close.

Expect to pay at bit more to live down here, but it is very much worth it.

see www.rtd-denver.com for public transportation information. light rail opens in November, and Parker residents will have two choices for boarding: I-225 & Parker Road and Lincoln & I-25.

Since they are not up and running, I do not know how long it takes. Driving 40 minutes to an hour on a good day, depending on where in Parker you are coming from.
