Yeah, I've never seen it before either.

I was thinking that moisture met up with the smoke plume from the oil refinery in Commerce City.... ....and since Montbello is downwind: =

We had some freezing fog (fog is defined as a collection of moisture suspended in the air) out by DIA just before I discovered the white substance in the pictures above.

My scientific analysis (ha, yeah right ) shows that the Commerce City oil refinery plume collided with the freezing fog mass somewhere over Montbello, which resulted in the white roads.

I thought about taking a sample for further analysis, but I didn't have a way to keep it cold, as I thought it might decompose if I hadn't done so.

------------

I would be very disappointed if we got rain in December.

And over here I thought that a powdered sugar truck had some major accident OR some drug ring gone wrong. Little kids were probably terrified thinking God was going to eat us since he was pouring powdered sugar on us. It's gotta be the only explanations!

December 30, 2010

The NWS has issued a Winter Storm Warning and is forecasting 6-10 inches for metro Denver today. We'll see.

As of 6 AM, it was snowing at DIA, in Montbello and North Aurora.

As of right now, it is not snowing here in SE Denver.

So my brother in law is scheduled to leave DIA around 5p for a flight back to Raleigh, NC.

Is this pending snowfall of up to 8 inches going to affect his flight taking off and/or the airplane from arriving at Denver before he boards?
