I'm going to California next week, but I don't know which road should I take. I-70 and I-15 Or Take I-80?

Default I-80

I've not been the entire route on I-80, just from SF to Salt Lake; but I have driven the US 50 & I-70 route. While the 50/I-70 route is scenic, the passes over the Rockies are very high. I think the Vail Summit is over 10,000 feet. I sure the I-80 passes are lower. So, my advice is to check the weather and if storms are due-take I-25 to Cheyenne and I-80 all the way to SF. Then, check the weather before you return and maybe try the other route.

As others said, check the weather; either can be bad, snowy, icy and dangerous.Check weather conditions and check them often.

Agreed, check the weather. Major snow storm to hit mountains next week; wouldn't want to be on 70 for that. Because of the weather, we've always taken 80. It's fast, although not too scenic.
