Default RTD Fare Question

Sorry I'm new to the area and haven't been able to find the answer to this question? I am riding the bus from Parker to Downtown and then onto another stop. Since I am going to use a Regional and an Express bus do I have to pay twice or what do i do, I am a little confused lol.

I don't know the answer to your question, but most bus drivers are very helpful and will be happy to explain the process if you ask. Welcome to Denver! : )

You would not pay twice. If you begin your trip on a regional bus, you will transfer to an express bus. Upon boarding the regional bus, ask the driver for a transfer. The transfer is free and you will then give it to the driver for the next express trip. The most you would pay within the system would be a regional rate (with the exception of Skyride to the airport which is more).

You are transferring down to a lower rate so you owe nothing. If you would transfer from an express to a regional, you would have to pay more for the difference in rate, with a credit for the express fare.

This link will be helpful to understand the system:

I assume you are taking the P regional from Parker to downtown and getting an express from there. Keep in mind that some regional buses run both express and regional trips, depending on the stop, you depart. Yes, the drivers are very helpful.
