St Regis University Area (Denver: rental, work, crime)

Can anyone tell me what the neighborhood around St Regis University is like? There seem to be cheaper rentals in this area of Denver but I wonder if it isnt as safe as areas slightly more south.

Do you mean "Regis University" in north Denver? It's an older area, otherwise seems fine. We used to live south of there in that general area. You could always search for crime stats. I think it's safe.

I go to Regis University's School for Professional Studies, so I don't attend the main campus for classes, but I do have quite a few friends in the traditional school, and they all live nearby. If you stay in the close vicinity of Regis, you will find that most of the people living nearby work / attend Regis. It's almost like it's own little "College Town" right in the middle of Denver.

Regis area is a nice area and much more affordable than Berkeley to the south. However, some of the industrial areas just to the north in unincorporated Adams County are a bit run-down. I doubt that makes them unsafe, though. It's easy to tell when you cross over from Denver to Adams County -- the Denver side is infinitely cleaner, greener, and nicer.
