How long has 720 been around? How hard is it to still get a 303? Is there a bias against businesses with 720 number because they look like the're new and don't have any track record? I don't want to put myself at a disadvantage against the compeition by having a 720 number when all the others in the phone book have 303's.

I've only lived in CO for three years, but it wouldn't make any difference to me in deciding whether to deal with a business.

Not living in Denver, if I needed a business in Denver, I would first be researching on the web.

The business I would end up dealing with would be the one that gives me what I want at a decent price and probably the most helpful, courteous etc. Phone numbers would not make much difference. With me the best impression from a website would have more to do with my calling, not the number.

720 has been added sometime in 1998 I believe. Many business use 720. I do not think it matters really one way or the other.

If you want to, I am sure you could still get a 303 #.

As a Denver native (although one who currently does not live there) I see some prestige associated with a 303 number but I would never discriminate against a company because of the phone number; it's the product, service and prices that would influence the decision for me.

In Denver you have to dial all ten digits anyway - I have 303 numbers (cell, office, home) but the kiddies all have 720 numbers...
