I will be attending Grad School at Anschultz Medical Campus. I would like to take the bus or light rail to the Campus. If possible, I would like to live walking distance to a bus route or light rail route. Any suggestions on the areas I should look at?

Default New To Denver - Student Needs Advice

I will be moving to Denver to attend school and would like some advise on which area would be the best for a graduate student. I would like to look at apartments, condos and townhouses. I know nothing about the Denver area, just visited the school for two days.

If possible:
1. Able to ride my bike to Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora.
2. Ride the bus to Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora.

What kind of area do you want to be in-- more suburban or more urban?

You could live practically on the campus, there are some new yuppified apartments just to the north of it.

Knowing nothing about you and your lifestyle, I'm gonna throw the Lowery neighborhood out there as a suggestion.

Here are the areas that have been suggested:

1.Stapleton
2. Lowry
3. Capitol Hill

I am not sure about living in suburban or more urban? Just want to explore some options when I go house/apartment/condo hunting.

Cap Hill is a little farther from Anschutz than the other two. If you're going to school, it's nice to be near the library, etc. I have a niece living in Lowry. It's nice; it's suburban in character, although in the city. Stapleton is often described that way, too, but I don't have much experience with it.

Thanks for the info about Lowry. If anyone have any suggestions on any apartments/condo it would be appreciated. This would be helpful looking when I only have a few days house hunting.

AMLI Lowry is a really nice, really huge, can be pricey complex. Google it, they have a website. I've been in those apartments before, and they're nice! If you're in the area, it's worth looking at, at least for comparison's sake.
