Default help

my family needs to move to the denver area in a very short notice (3 weeks). how hard is it to find a 2 bedrooms in a hurry ? My daughter will probably already miss a week of school because we have no permanent residence when we arrive. I have a job in South Aurora area and my husband found something by the airport. What neighborhood should we avoid ? Thanks so much everyone

Just a thought, but is there anyone you can leave your daughter with, so she can continue school where she is at, until you can get established in Denver? That would be best. If thats not possible, don't worry about it too much. You are just going to have to face the fact that she will probable end up missing quite a bit of school. Switching schools is never a good thing anyway. For example school calendars vary extensively. So even if you could make the move in just one weekend, she could still end up missing out on weeks of class time.

Denver is a big city. Of course it's possible to find something in a hurry. But you will probably have to take what ever comes along. You are not going to be able to worry too much about neighborhoods. Maybe you can find something with a six month lease. Then if the location doesn't work for you, you can look for another place before the start of the next school year.

Look in the area you'll be working. South Aurora is quite safe and the commute to DIA is easy. (I live down there and work at the airport.) Plus, if you're generally south of Hampden, The school district (Cherry Creek) is a very good one.
The market here is too big to simply settle for anything. A little research into neighborhood crime stats will tell you a lot about what to avoid...
