Smile Moving from Cleveland to Denver

Hello!

So my soon-to-be husband and I are planning to move to Denver in August. We have heard a lot of good things about Capitol Hill and were just wanting to hear people's opinions about possible apartments in the area - we are both in our mid 20s. So far Poets Row seems the most appealing but we wanted to hear about others as well. We are both teachers (do not yet have positions for the Fall) so were also wanting to know if that area is cheap enough to live off of at least 1 salary (hopefully!) and still have some fun. And will just 1 car be enough for 2 people or is public transportation really as bad as I have read? Any information will be helpful!!

Thank you!

Public transit in Denver is pretty good, by everything we see on this board. Lots of bus service and a growing light rail system. One car should do; look in the index thread under Transit for the "car free living...." thread.

Curious as to what you read and where you read it. Nothing could be farther from the truth! Living on one teacher's salary is probably harder than living with one car.
