My family and I just moved to Denver a week ago, so of course moneys a bit tight and were wanting to get out the house and possibly go camping this weekend. So were looking for some place near Denver about an hour drive where it's either free or cheap to do so and allows our SUV on sight to kinda camp out of?

Any help would be great. Thanks in advance

Hey, I think Rocky Mountain National Park entrance fee is free April 16-24th. U.S. National Park Service Free Entrance Days in the National Parks

Morraine Park campground should be open and I think it is about $20
Facility Details - Recreation.gov, Moraine Park Campground - Recreation.gov
(definitely double check to make sure campground is open to vehicles)

If you are new to area, definitely check it out. Trail Ridge Road will be partially closed, but you can still see Bear Lake, Estes Park, etc. Maybe even do some sledding at the old ski hill. Could be cold since it is in the mountains, but should be relatively warm this weekend.

Annual Colorado Sate Park pass is $70:

Colorado State Parks

That'll get you into any one of the 42 Colorado state parks:

Some parks have additional camping fees, but they're not much.

Pretty good deal...
