One way to go might be to take Wadsworth to Mississippi (or Florida or Evans), Mississippi to Sante Fe, Santa Fe to Hampden, Hampden to Happy Canyon - which then turns into Monaco.

That way you avoid 6th and I-25 entirely, you're on Santa Fe (essentially a highway) going opposite of most rush hour traffic, and you avoid the current construction on Hampden/285.

I've done that route and many more.

Again the GPS + Traffic is the key..I trust it. Once when there was a bad accident on 285 and 25, it took me around on 470. Only once did it do that and I got there before everyone else.

Personally, I would drive to Alameda PnR and take a light rail train.

After taking slightly different routes there and back today, I think I can fairly well say there's just no good route for this trip. Even avoiding the construction on 285 there was significant traffic east of Santa Fe.

I'll probably eventually look at the light rail situation.

That doesn't go all the way. You mean 6th ave to 25 South?

I've been taking Wadsworth to Hampden to Happy Canyon. It works out OK, the traffic from construction on 285 is there but not as bad as I thought. The trip takes about 40 minutes each way.
