Default Best route Lakewood to Cherry Creek? Peak times, 8am / 5pm

I'm starting a new job this week and will be driving from the Belmar area of Lakewood to Cherry Creek (just off Belleview & I-25). Will be driving during peak I-25 rush hour times, 8am and 5pm.

Would you advise going south on Wadsworth to 285 East or 6 West to 25 South? I'm planning on 285 but I've seen that get pretty busy after work too.

I do this drive to Oracle (Belleview & I-25) in the DTC from Belmar. My suggestion is to get a GPS with traffic enabled to help because either route could be good one day and terrible the next, especially with the construction on 285.

Once they finish 285 I'd imagine that would be the best route, because 25 is very congested consistently. However for 285 if you get snagged at the light at Federal it could really slow you down. It takes me 45m - 1h15m mins normally, but I also make a stop to drop my daughter at school which I have tried to tear out of that time.

You could also drive to Alameda Station and take the rail line...I am actually considering that.

I just wanted to point out that Belleview and I-25 isn't anywhere near Cherry Creek.

Oh...well, when I got hired they told me it was "cherry creek, but north cherry creek." Maybe they meant DTC.

Dang, I didn't know there was construction on 285. I'll have to see about GPS with traffic. Do you happen to know of any good android apps for that?

I did look at taking RTD also - it looks like the light rail drops me off about a mile from the office...not gonna work when it snows, rains, etc. There might be a bus I can take part of the way though.

Brandon, do you have an address for your job? There is a "north cherry creek" area that is nowhere near I-25 and Belleview. If you have an address we could tell you where it is for sure.

When I first moved to Denver in 1989, I lived in Lakewood at Hampden & Wads. I went to school (real estate pre-license school) at Belleview & Quebec (facing I-25.) -

I would take Hampden back home, for the most part I'd drive Belleview there.

Sometimes I would go south to Arapahoe. You have to be flexible.

How did you hook back up with Hampden? The trouble with Arapahoe is it ends at Broadway and with Belleview it ends in Bow Mar (but there are ways to snake through the Wadsworth there).

There are back roads and I have tried them, but they are too inconsistent.

Verify the address for sure, like others have said. Maybe they have another office in Cherry Creek North, and in that case, your commute would be totally different. I-25/Belleview is not anywhere near the Cherry Creek neighborhood in Denver, though it's not that far from the Cherry Creek Reservoir.
