Hey gang,

Per my earlier post, I'm moving to the Denver area next month and starting a job in Louisville. My roommate is moving to the area and starting a job in Lakewood in August.

Where is a good middle of the road area to live in between those two locations? We really like the Highlands area so anything like that would be great!

How's Arvada? I heard it's a bit sleepy and residential. Are there any places there that have a feel like Highlands?

Or is traffic going away from Denver really not that bad for me and should I just eat the distance and stay in Highlands and drive to Louisville?

Thanks!

Ahhhhh, snoooze....ahhhhh...shhhhh...snorrrrr.....I am so sleepy because I live in Arvada...it is so boring....mmmmm....I'm so tired...

Yes, Arvada is nicely residential but you can choose to live right in Olde Town Arvada. There are types of restaurants and bars all in a nice walkable area--if you choose the apartments nearby, specifically in the water tower development. This would put you into easy commute to both Lakewood and Louisville. This area would be more like Highland because it has old mixed with new. Also you would be very close to the exciting areas of North Denver such as Tennyson Street in Berkeley; West Highland and not too far, Highland.

You could also look at the vibrant area in Lakewood near the Church Ranch Exit of I-36. You will find manyy different venues, restaurants, bars with nice apartments nearby. In addition, you will be down the road from Westminster City Park with two Great Recreation Centers. Again, good commuting distance to both places.

You could also look to live in Broomfield near the the Flatirons Crossing Mall. Very nice apartments and all the restaurants and bars you can handle.

ahhh...gotta go to sleep now. Now, where is my Teddy and Blanki...Nighty night!

Thanks for the advice! I forgot to mention that the roomie is actually wanting to buy a house, I'm just paying rent in said house when he gets it. Heh. If that changes any of the suggestions.

Also that one part I quoted - we're looking between Lakewood and Louisville - did you mean to say somewhere else or are there another Lakewood?

I made a mistake--Church Ranch Exit is in Westminster
