I do not know about a building supply recycle store.
Habitat for Humanity has 2 (and I think a 3rd soon to open) building supply recycle stores. One is around Broadway and I-25, I believe. Google it to find locations. I've donated to them before in California when we remodeled our condo and had decent cabinets to dispose of. Then they re-sell them for their cause.

I also think we need wayyyyy more direct flights to Europe. Just sayin'.
I've never been to Elitch's, but a bigger park would be better. I love the current location though.

I read in the Post this morning that Icelandic Air may be adding a Denver non-stop soon. You fly to Iceland, then connect to all over Europe. I used them once when living in Europe because they were much cheaper than other airlines. You just have to connect in Iceland every time! But hey, how many people can say they've been to Iceland, if only in the airport? lol!

The same can be said for thrift stores as there are many.

Doh! I didn't read further down and see your post. I volunteer for Habitat and think I received an e-mail recently that they're opening a third outlet store somewhere in the metro area.

That would be neat! But...I can always connect in NJ or NY and then get to anywhere Europe. Right now we just have Franfurt and London. I want more. Rome, Istanbul, Russia would be good, etc.

Nope, and IMHO, like most of these type of things all Californian, I just don't care. 2 buck chuck is not really all that. Their vodka, starts with a B, is just downright gut rot, and as for organics and whatnot, that's what Vitamin Cottage, Whole Foods are for. It's like the hugely overrated In & Out. Um... better not go any further! LOL

The article also mentioned that DIA is getting closer to a direct flight to Tokyo, once Air Nippon has the new Boeing 787 Dreamliners in action. I believe Boeing is in the final testing stages on this new wide-body aircraft. It's smaller than a 777, similar in size to a 767, but more fuel efficient and they believe, the perfect size for the Denver/Tokyo route. Wouldn't that make us a true international city? direct flights to Asia and Europe?

But you're dreaming big on all those routes
