Why is Denver not having a trader joes a big deal? never been to one, but whats so special about it? From what I heard, its no better than King Soopers. This is the same thing that happen with Ikea....i thought it was completely different from other Furniture stores...the only thing it had over American Furniture Warehouse was...
1.Food..which was good actually.
2.A huge parking garage
3.ALOT of traffic..

^Can someone explain why TJ is so important??

Lots of unique, affordable, healthy (and non-healthy) choices. I love getting care packages from my mom with unusual stuff from TJs. Whoever told you it's no better than King Soopers didn't know what the hell they were talking about.

Finally some people who get it! Keep that pre-packed, frozen, organic crap in California!

Seriously, this is what Denver is
missing?

Strawberry Freezer Pops (FAT)

Earlier this summer, we had our Seal Pup present Peach Freezer Pops. So, naturally, when we were ready to release our Strawberry Freezer Pops, we recruited Seal Pup's pal Sir Sea Lion to do the honors. Made with big chunks of California-grown strawberries, picked at the peak of sweet maturity, these frozen pops are full of bright flavor. And, naturally, they contain no artificial ingredients or preservatives. Simply tear off the top and squeeze the delicious frozen fruit right up to the tip of your tongue. They're perfect as an end-of-summer pool party prize or as an after-school, really cool snack. Each 10.5 ounce box of six Strawberry Pops is $1.99.

Seville Orange Marmalade (GROSS)

We recently tasted all of the marmalades in the marketplace to make sure we were carrying the most marvelous. Some made us pucker, some made us purse, and there was one that made us feel just like Paddington Bear – it was pure love. Packed with plentiful tart rind pieces, it sings with intensely sharp orange flavor and it possesses a sweet harmonious stickiness that makes you lick your lips. We were pretty much sold as soon as we put it in our mouths, but when we discovered that we could offer more for less, well, it was a done deal. Enjoy a 17.5 ounce jar of Trader Joe's Seville Orange Marmalade for $3.49.

Candy Coated Licorice (FAT)

This box of soft, little licorice bites coated in colorful, hard candy shells makes us nostalgic for classic theatre candy and a time when going to the movies cost less than a three-course meal. Those were the days. Ah, but so are these. That's why we're selling a six ounce box of Trader Joe's Candy Coated Licorice, made without artificial flavors or colors, for 99¢! Timeless treats merit a value to match, at least that’s our theory. So bust open a box of these sweet sensations and enjoy the show (on whatever device it may be streaming)!

Ready To Bake Brownies (FAT)

Pour. Bake. Cool. Could it really be that easy? Oh, yes. This shelf-stable brownie batter is carefully crafted by a technically savvy supplier in the south of France, and then packaged in a ready-to-pour pouch without the use of preservatives. Amazing. This skip-the-prep-and-let's-get-cooking mix creates fresh, moist, chocolate-rich brownies. It's certainly not necessary, but if you feel compelled, add chocolate chips, mini peanut butter cups, candied nuts or… have fun! At $2.99 for each 22.9 ounce package, crafting freshly-baked brownies is as affordable as it is easy.

I don't understand the appeal of Trader Joe's either, and I lived in California for awhile and shopped there on occasion. I worked near the TJs in Culver City and lived near the one in Manhattan Beach. But hey, to each their own, I guess! I could do without it.

Same with Dunkin' Donuts. I'm not bothered by the fact that there aren't any in Denver. (yet)

We used to have a direct flight to Tokyo and then United stopped doing that. I think that having direct flights to Asia and Europe would at least make the airport a true international.

Wouldn't that make us a true international city? direct flights to Asia and Europe?

But you're dreaming big on all those routes

You know, there used to be several Dunkin's in Denver. Not sure what happened.

I completely AGREE. While I think TJ's is overrated, it's not remotely like King Soopers. And to understand the difference, you'd have to actually visit a TJ's.

TJ's is over-rated. They're good, but the cult they built around themselves is peculiar...and they aren't as cheap as many people think they are, even for the "quality" of food you get. Measure by the ounce much?

A Scottish accent...now that's what Denver is truly missing!

Does anyone go to the Cherry Creek Farmer's Market? If so, keep an eye out for people carrying reusable bags from Trader Joe's. I've noticed quite a few people who seem to carry them around as some sort of a protest.
