Default Relocation info: Temp jobs, rentals

My husband & I are planning a move to Denver in the near future. We’d be able to fund our move with a couple of months worth of living expenses left in the bank if we moved right now. However, we’d need to find work ASAP, though temp work would be perfectly acceptable for a time. I have two questions that can help us determine when we can realistically pick up & go:

How plentiful is temp work? We’d be interested in either working through a temp agency (for office work, etc.) or substitute teaching. Both of us hold Bachelor’s degrees and have approximately 5 years of varied professional experience following graduation.

How difficult would it be to find a single family home rental where the owner would rent to us without jobs? We have a long rental history with strong references. However, if it’s 8+ months worth of rent that they’re looking for in the bank as I’ve read of some rental agencies, we’d be lucky if we have 2-3 after paying the first month & security deposit. I figure that individual owners would be more flexible but I’m not certain.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
