Suzco gave me the great idea of starting a new thread about cheap, ethnic food places around town a la dollar scoops and mexican dive joints.

I said in another thread that the dollar scoop on 92nd and Federal is pretty good.

Anybody have a favorite cheap place they want to share specifically?

Just got back from a trip back to Denver and have a bunch of their sandwiches in the fridge right now.

I like Pho 555 and Pho #1 on Federal. The dim sum places where the new Lowes is near Alameda and Federal are awesome. The Blue Bonnet Cafe on South Broadway is my new favorite place for breakfast burritos, but I can't remember if the prices were truly cheap.

U can get 99c burritos at the place on Park Ave West called Gomez (something or other). Just look for the banner that says 99c burritos, they are a good value.

The roast pork, duck, etc. sold by weight at the prepared food section of Pacific Ocean at 120th and Main in Broomfield is good.

Pupusas Sabor Hispanico in 4500 N Broadway in Boulder for Salvadoran food.

Santiago's on Leetsdale and some other locations--$2 breakfast burritos. Made that morning but ready to go, so fast and yummie.

Also the Pho joints on Havana are delicious and cheap a la Federal Blvd.
