Ok, so Arapahoe & Liverpool is east Centennial, 80015/80016 near SE Aurora. That part of Centennial will take significantly longer to get to downtown Denver than say the Dry Creek & I-25 area where formercalifornian lives. If you were to say drive down Arapahoe Rd to I-25, it could easily take 30 minutes on morning rush hour commute just to make it to I-25 (and same for coming back home), then another 45 minutes+ to get downtown. Or you could take E-470, which is very fast though expensive, but then you'd still be stuck on clogged up I-70 to get downtown. SE Aurora/E Centennial is a more convenient place to live if you work in the Tech Center, north Aurora, or DIA-- not so much for commuting downtown.

Good point, Vegas. I was replying to Maximus' post and failed to realize that my addition to the thread might confuse those who are not familiar with the area. Arapahoe traffic is a nightmare! Best to avoid it if at all possible.

Plenty of people do it obv.

I would hate to do that Arapahoe/Liverpool one though. Just to get to civilization (i.e. a real live freeway) takes awhile.

If it were me though, I'd look closer to work (in both cases). IMO it sucks passing by all the nice places on the way home.

I'd take a look at other neighborhoods before committing to the eastern portion of Centennial. I understand that you don't want 'city', but keep in mind that much of Denver itself is suburban in feel. If you want something newer, you should take a look in the tech center area, but closer to the light rail (or freeway, if you want to drive every day).

Wow. I had forgotten I even posted this thread. I guess I'll look into the light rail. It does sound like it's just about as long of a ride/commute but it probably is cheaper than gas.
