I've thinking of moving to Denver & have received an offer to rent a condo at 601 W. 11th - Parkway Condos.

I have read that these condos share property with Marquis at the Parkway Apartments and pool & common areas are dirty and taken over by the college students.

I have also been reading that this area is unsafe.

Anyone know about this area/property? Thank you.

It's not unsafe. But the crowd is def college age and they've def taken over. We liked the bldgs you mention but the age range is way too young for us. We are just turned 40s.

I lived close to there when I first moed to Denver (11th and Lincoln). It's not a bad area, but like mentioned before, it's very young. I have a friend who lives in that building and there is definitely a dorm-like feel to it.

Default 11th & Speer

Thanks for your response. Is the dorm like atmosphere in the condo building as well?

Thank you.

Tina

I can't say for sure. What I saw at the condo bldg was a much more mature audience, but if they share the common grounds with the other bldg, that'd get quite irritating. It's one reason (out of many) why we decided against it. They claim to offer all of these amenities (the Marquis) but it seemed like they weren't actually available (shuttle constantly breaking down, etc. - or so we heard from a friend who lived there).

Yes, very young party-esque crowd. I had a friend that lived there and she was in her low 30's and had outgrown it by leaps and bounds... just to give you an idea.

safe area...college and yuppie crowd, dont move there if you dont expect to get woken up by random loud noises at night and beer cans in the hallways...something like a dorm

I wouldn't recommend the area unless you want to party all night.
