Highland Ranch Housing Prices???
Can anyone tell me is the only new home development in HR right now is the Backcountry by Shea Homes? I'm looking to buy a 3,000+ size home with 5bdr and a 3 car garage and seems like I need to spend at least 650,000 to 700,000 even on a resale home to get what I'm looking for. Is HR homes just cost more than other areas? Thanks

Shea & Berkeley are building in the Hearth near Southridge rec center.
Berkeley builds a 5 bed home - none currently in inventory - so you'd have to build. So does Shea in the Hearth.
Are you wanting 5 bedrooms or 4 bedrooms and a study?

4 bedrooms and a study is fine. Are you a local real estate agent in Denver? Can I have your info? Thanks

Saw Berkley homes and they are too smal so I guess my only option is the Shea at backcountry and they seem really high priced. Can anyone give me more info on the backcountry? Thanks

They have a website at http://www.backcountryco.com/.
IMO, you'd be better off with an existing home in HR than one in BackCountry. They seem rather over priced and are spaced so close together it's unreal. You also will pay $225-$250 per month in HOA's, on top of the HOA fees all HR residents pay. I can't see paying so much more money, when we already have 4 great rec centers to take advantage of for only $118/quarter.

Personally, I like Stonebury (just north of Back Country) and Weatherstone (just west of BC) then Firelight, Kentley Hills.
If you are not settled on HR - look at houses in Lone Tree or Wildcat Reserve.

firelight is an awful subdivision, in my opinion. it's just acres and acres of pavement with houses smooshed up against each other. greenery is scarce. the tallest tree is like six feet.
