I literally just returned or Orange County CA from a week in Denver. The first thing I said when I walked out of the terminal was "Wow, its humid here." Its actually about the same temp today but even when Denver was 10F hotter, it felt more comfortable.

I've been here a year, and last summer was so nice--hot, dry, sunny, perfect, and yes, just a little shade and it was fine. Winter, also quite nice, and only a few really cold days. But this summer... ugh, the humidity and storms every day. It has been more like Houston than the Denver I'd heard about.

I personally think Denver could use a little more humidity at times;the persistant lack of it at is one of the few things I'm not terribly wild about here. This summer feels good to me, my hair and skin seem to agree, but to each their own in comfort level.

I prefer the dry heat to the humid but I'll take the bit of humidity we've had this year due to the much needed rain that we received. It was definitely more humid but to compare it to HOUSTON is a bit extreme.

Have you been to Houston? The humidity this summer in Denver is absolutely nothing compared to Houston - or anywhere east of Denver. Bad humidity is when you work up a sweat walking from your house to your car! It's been quite tolerable this summer, and the rain has kept things so green. I like it!

Yeah... right
Yes, it has been more humid because of the rain but to compare it to Houston... well, that's just silly!
I don't mind it being a little more humid at all, but it does feel strange.

And there were several days this summer when Denver's humidity rivaled Houston's. I checked. Accuweather. I don't have a/c, so I really notice it.
Houston is more wretched by far, but compared to last summer, this is more like Houston in Denver. MHO :-)

The thing that gets me in Denver are the winters. My skin gets dry to the point that no lotion will help it, and my hair stands on end from the static electricity. Makes my contacts pretty uncomfortable as well. That's when the lack of moisture in the air is brutal.
