I agree, here in Denver it is very desolate and we don't get a lot of moisture this time of year (if that is where you are). However in the spring, part of the summer and even in the fall with the change of color in the leaves, we do get some color.

Also in most of the mountains and the southern half of the state there is a lot of colorful beauty to see so not all of it is dead and brown. And on the occasion that it snows, it's white.

Yeah. At this time of year, I hate the scenery within the city. I'm about to take a trip to visit my Parents in Denver, and I'm not looking foward to seeing the brown..But hey, thats what the mountains are for i guess!
