Default Colorado water supply issue(s)

Is there or might there be water problem(s) in Denver's present or future?
I might appear to be totally off base by asking this question but i am obsess with water issues be it polluted waters or a drought that necessitate draconian rationing measures.I live as a 10y.o.(i'm37) through this sort of thing on a 2wks trip to Australia witch at that time was caught up into the most severe drought in their recorded history and i don't ever want to go through that again EVER!!
Beleive me folks neither do you,so after reading on the Vegas side this eye opening and very informative thread :
http://www.city-data.com/forum/las-v...ml#post1299882
i would be lying if i would claim not be bothered by this, the Colorado river supplies at least 10% of the water used by the south-southwest cities.I am Endeavoring to put things together so i can relocate to Denver as soon as humanly and financially possible.I have inquired about Denver before and got some extremely precise and invaluable information about the real estate market from the well informed experts, that as allowed me to have a crytal clear picture of the area.I am going to spend a insane among of money on a land lot alone that might very well call for me to tear down before any construction can begun. The last thing i want to ear is possible drought issues, I have narrowed my search to 2 cities Denver is absolutely #1 in my hart and in my mind(Portland ME is a FAR DISTANT 2)!!The state of Colorado is the most desirable place of all of the AMERICAS!!take my word for it, i have seen most of countries in this hemisphere, nowhere is more beautiful and cleaner than COLORADO,however i wouldn't be caught dead here if their was water problems. So please let me know what the reality is and also is there any beaches in Denver if not where do people go for a swim during the summer? What is the best place for a swim?
thank you

Default for a swim

I visited Cherry Creek State Park a couple of weekends ago and they had a couple of swimming areas that I thought were nice. Lots of power boats and jet skis though!

Default thank you!

Thank you TOLIFE,
the last time i that i had the privilege and pleasure to be in Denver was in '93 and every times it was in late-october to late November to see my best friend and to catch the broncos.I have never seen Denver in the summer,i can only imagine how beautiful it must be and hope soon be there.I haven't swim in a natural body of water since 00 when i was in Iceland ,so you can imagine how thrilling it is to know that within the boundaries of the city(according to the map on the C.C. website) you have a park like Cherry Creek and Chatfield a little further away to the west exited me to no end.
Here in Toronto we are surrounded by a cesspool called Lake Ontario and when the yearly curse of a smug-filled and appallingly muggy summer season is unfortunatly upon us , the grateful locals rushes to the Toronto area beaches for a swim.
Barely able to control themselves they proceed to dive in head first as soon as the clarion call is given on the radio to let every body know that E-Coli bacteria FOR TODAY is at "acceptable"level!!.
Be "thankful for small mercies" and i thank you very much for the good news.

Default your welcome

I'm new to Denver..in fact I'm still in Baltimore right now, but I'm moving into my Denver apartment next week. I, like you, was looking for a natural body of water to swim in. Cherry Creek seemed nice to me, but not as nice as I have seen in my travels about the country. There are also some hot springs in the mountains that are popular. And of course some cold mountain rivers around. There is a new reservoir in Aurora too, that I thought had a pretty swim beach:

Default thank you for the links

Good luck in your relocation, not that you will need it because by now you have seen Denver and are set to start a new life,as a betting man i know you will be very happy there. You must be very exited and anxious to relocate.I ,on the other hand will have to wait unless a miracle happens until next year because i must get the max. for my condo, sell my cars and all my furniture, than get a passport and finally the maximum out of the package that is mine from my sh*tty job as a serie3 stock pusher.
Baltimore you poor thing... I feel for you!!.That crap hole makes Toronto look like paradise for crying out loud!!Hopefully one day will meet at the beach.

take good care
