Has anyone not paid one of those tickets issued by a photo radar or red-light camera? From what I understand, unless the ticket is written and served by a police officer, it isn't valid--meaning the independent contractors who sit in those blacked-out vans and photograph you as you speed through wherever are issuing illegitimate tickets since they arrive in the mail. Has anyone NOT paid one of these and lived to tell about it?

Thanks in advance......

They're most certainly valid. However, Colorado law does not allow municipalities to either boot cars or issue warrants for those who fail to pay photo radar or red-light camera tickets. Instead, you'll be sent to a collection agency, the fine will accordingly get much larger, and your credit will take a hit.

Default ticket

Thanks for the info - I've been stalling on paying one of these for the same reason. Guess I better fork it over
