I had to move out of Colorado 7 months ago to get a job. After about 150 resumes and applications sent out, and 2 interviews, I had to look elsewhere. While it was probably the best decision short-term, I want to move back to Denver when the economy improves and jobs are available! I am over 50 and have 20+ years experience in my feild, but those were things working against me finding a job. SO, are there others who needed to move away and hope to return?

I have a friend who had to move to Canada to find work! I know he's trying to get back to Denver.

You almost have to bring your job with you these days. Good luck with your job search, took my wife a year to find a job. The Midwest has the lowest unemployment these days.

I'm in the military so I move around a lot. When I retire from the service I will still be in my 30s and able to start a new career. I would like to do that in Denver, but we'll see what the economy is looking like when that day arrives. The good news is that with a retirement pension (that is, if they [Congress] don't decide "in the interest of fairness" to take those away from us) I probably won't feel the pressure to land a high-paying job. Really all I have to do is make up the difference and hopefully a little more between my active duty pay and benefits and my retirement pension.
