So we are finally making the move to Denver in a few weeks, we are going to be buying a house but are going to get short-term furnished rental to start with.
My question is, we saw this place online and it seems ok, but I'm not sure about the neighborhood. It's an apartment called the La Mont:
La Mont

It's at 1117 Pennsylvania St, between E 11th Ave and E 12th Ave. It's going to be me and my wife with our 2 daughters, ages 3 and 1. For the first few weeks when I am at work, I want to make sure that they are safe. Does anyone know anything about this area/neighborhood?

Or could you recommend some other areas to look if this one isn't that safe?

Thanks.

Default Not the best for kids

1. Where are you going to work? That is, what is your work address?

2. Where do you live now? It will help determine what you mean by "safe".

3. How long do you plan to rent?

1 - I'll be working close to there, near the convention center.
2 - Well I've lived in NYC and SF, so I've been around my share of deranged homeless people and such. But it's different when you don't know the area.
3 - We are only planning on 2 months give or take until we purchase a house in one of the suburbs.
