Certainly, they're not in upper middle class areas, but if you look hard enough, and make your bid quick enough, there are deals to be had, they are livable and in areas where blight is not overwhelming. After looking at some of the real estate listings that I've seen, I'm sure that there's some choices for us. As to why we want to get out of Arizona, it's rather obvious--I'm sick and tired of right wing, neo-fascists running the government, and their social agendae. Of course, I know that there's extreme right wing folks in Colorado as well (and we are rather conservative)--however, they can't be as bad as they are here.
Interesting. Most polling shows that Arizona isn't really much more conservative than Colorado. Have you considered New Mexico? Closer to home, but without the GOP politics. Just a thought.

I am not sure what polls you are referring to, but I can assure you that Arizona is wacko-level conservative. While the whole state is NOT that way our legislature and Governor are. Actually, our Governor has been more level-headed of late than the legislature and if you know anything about her then you get an idea of this state...

+1% and -1.9% seem pretty close to me. That would prove my point that Colorado is not a more liberal alternative to Arizona.

Gallup also measured the ratio of conservatives to liberals to moderates. Arizona has exactly 0.6% more self-identified conservatives than Colorado. The only difference is that Colorado has 2.5% more liberals than Arizona, and about 1.5% less moderates.

I didn't check Gallup's data, but I doubt that any state is more similar to Colorado politically than Arizona.
