One of my friends will be in town on business and is staying at the Sheraton Denver West at 360 Union Blvd in Lakewood. I've visited Yelp.com, but wonder if anyone has any restaurant recommends near the hotel (maybe within 5 miles?) I'm not familiar with that part of town, so wonder where to go for a reasonably priced meal -- preferably not a chain like TGIFridays, but maybe somewhere unique to Colorado. I'm not necessarily looking for a steakhouse, just not a typical chain. Thanks.

240 Union (at 240 Union Blvd) is great, but of course it depends what you consider reasonably priced.

You could go to main street Golden and go to The Table Mountain Inn or Woody's Pizza. It is probably a 10 minute drive from the hotel.

Simms Steakhouse has a great view and good happy hour. Regular meals are more a fit for expense account diners which there are many at that hotel.
