Who would you rather have here?

Put me down for Manning, although I love Tebow's relentless positive attitude and will.

Manning.

I would even go so far as to buy a Manning Broncos jersey. I will never buy a Tebow jersey.

Manning. Last season was smoke and mirrors at its finest. The defense and special teams were the only things that made Tebow Time possible because they covered for how spectacularly poorly Tebow played all but the last few minutes in several of those games.

If Manning chooses another team, I think Tebow can grow into his position. I know he's not the BEST PLAYER EVER, but I also think he's extremely motivated and will only get better from this point on. I actually read and enjoyed his book, too, so feel free to make fun of me for it.

Tebow. There is no future with Manning.

I'm not from Colorado, but Tebow strikes me as a guy who would really take the opportunity to learn from Manning. I like Tebow and his work ethic, and I think the people who hate him can hate all they want, but he will be just fine.

That being said.. it's really hard to not want Manning on your team.

Not that we'll get him (someone like Miami will), but Manning.

I mean let's get real. It's just not fair comparing a QB to a Running Back ^_^

In this league, you win Super Bowls with an elite quarterback. The last dozen quarterbacks to play in the Super Bowl are:
SB 46: Eli Manning NYG (W) v. Tom Brady NE (L)
SB 45: Aaron Rodgers GB (W) v. Ben Roethlisberger PIT (L)
SB 44: Drew Brees NO (SB 44) v. Payton Manning IND (L)
SB 43: Ben Roethlisberger PIT (W) v. Kurt Warner ARZ (L)
SB 42: Eli Manning NYG (W) v. Tom Brady NE (L)
SB 41: Payton Manning IND (W) v. Rex Grossman CHI (L)

The only non-elite QB on this list is Rex Grossman whose style is similar to that of Tebow's: he likes to scramble, can complete the long pass, but struggles with accuracy on short passes, and is prone to turning the ball over.

Grossman's Bears team made it to the Super Bowl on the strength of its superior defense. Still Rex managed to complete 54% of his passes (compared to Tebow's 46% this year).

Tebow, for all of his "charisma" (I think he is as dull as math class, though that actually might be an insult to math class) and his "winning attitude" can take the Broncos (or any team for that matter) only so far.

I think we will start to see the law of diminishing returns rear its ugly head if he continues to start for the Broncos. He started by winning 6 of his first 7 starts this year (Orton started his first year here 6-0), but lost 4 of his last 5 starts. Tebow is on a downward trend that I believe will continue as teams figure him out, keep him in the pocket, and force him to beat them by throwing the ball. Tebow supporters will point out that he beat Pittsburgh with a long pass, but I can point out that he led the Broncos to a whopping 3 points against KC the week before.

You can't pass up the opportunity to get Manning. It may be for only a few years but he gives this team the best chance of winning NOW. As a Charger fan I don't look forward to facing him twice a year but I still want to see him play here in town. I admit I got caught up in the Tebow mania last season but I know Tebow got lucky and had a ton of help.
