I'm looking at moving to the Denver area but would like to live in the mountains but still within driving distance to the metroplex. Any suggestions of areas and prices????

In the foothills you will find Evergreen, Conifer - closer Golden, Kitridge, Morrison +/- 40-75 minutes to downtown.

So many of us did the same thing, but for some, the reality of the commute wins out. We were just one exit up 285 from Morrison and the normal commute was 50 minutes. Snow would double that. Moving east we cut the commute in half.

Our friends in Lookout Mountain/Genessee don't mind the drive, however, they leave earlier in the morning not because of heavy traffic, but because their commute has an average of 2 or 3 accidents a week. Some are worse than others, but they allow for it every day.

You would have no problem if your work day begins and ends outside normal rush hours.
