Thinking about moving to Denver ... HELP!!!
I really need some help/opinions... Here is my situation...
I am a 23 year old female teacher in Indianapolis. I was born and raised in Indiana. My whole family lives two hours north of Indy. I moved here after college to do my student teaching and ended up with a job here. I love the school where I teach, but I have recently been tossing around the idea of moving. I am 23 and single and what a better time in my life to make a move when I have nothing holding me back.
After doing a lot of research, I am really interested in moving to Denver. I am a very outgoing person that loves to be outdoors, ski, hike, and play all different sports.
I am wondering about the school systems in Denver, cost of living, and how easy/difficult it would be for me to start a new life, make new friends, etc. Please let me know any opinions or advice you may have. Thanks!

You'll love Denver, period. Move here yesterday!!
CoL is reasonable for the population density. Lots of singles, especially single men. Plenty of nightlife in downtown.

Hi there! I'm actually from the midwest as well. I was born and raised in Ohio. After then living in NY for college, I vowed never to live anywhere that cold again!
Once I arrived in Colorado Springs, I knew Colorado was for me. We have over 300 days of sunshine with an amazing amount of activities at our doorsteps. It's awesome to live here among so many active people.
I currently live in Central Denver and it's full of really cool events, attractions, and nightlife. I think you can't go wrong giving Denver, or even Boulder, a try. The downside of Boulder is there is not as much nightlife as in Denver. I worked with many young, single active people, just like yourself, in Boulder and most all of them lived in Denver for the nightlife.
I currently have three children in Denver Public Schools and there are lots of teaching opportunities right now. Many of the Denver Public Schools are seeing improved test scores as more people seek to move from the suburbs back into the city. There is a definite trend of a huge student population growth in the city schools and therefore, a need for more great teachers.
I recommend giving it a try. If you hate it, you can always move back to the hot and humid in the summer, cold and wet and gray in the winter, midwest!

I don't quite get Charles' post, so let's move on.
Teaching jobs are competitive in the metro area; I do not know specifically about Denver Public Schools. There is an extensive amount of posting about schools on this forum. The school districts themselves also have websites which usually have job postings.

I believe Charles is giving this young lady a complement that she has talent and that she should believe in herself.

Please don't "cut down" the midwest! You Colorado people don't like it when people cut your State down. The midwest IS nice and there are plenty of people that live there that will say that. My old home State was Indiana and there was nice weather during the winter/summer months just like in Colorado/Denver. Denver area doesn't "corner the market" on weather. While Denver area is shoveling itself out of snowstorm or blizzard there are people in Florida, So Calif., North Carolina, etc. who are enjoying beautiful weather and sunshine.
Currently we live in Parker, CO and have lived in the area for the past 5 1/2 years and the weather here, summer or winter, isn't as great as said to be. Believe us, the weather here can be great, but let' NOT overdue it.
I recommend giving it a try. If you hate it, you can always move back to the hot and humid in the summer, cold and wet and gray in the winter, midwest!

Who are you to say we can't cut down where we are originally from? Frankly, the only thing I miss is the Great Lakes, and I lived in the midwest for over 20 years. I welcome the very occasional blizzard we get as an alternative to snow (and the inevitable ice) on the ground for several weeks at a time without fail every year. If you wanna cut down CO, go ahead. I'll just put you in the file marked "people that belong in 2-season climates".

Ok! How do you like that for an answer? A plain and simple "ok".
