Hello there. We are looking for any advice concerning small claims court in denver. We are being sued for some work my husband did for a couple. The claim is ridiculous and they are just being vindictive. He did great work and we have all the proof. We are currently counter-suing because they started posting all of the internet that my husband was a drug addict, thief and so forth, which are all bold face laws.

Does anyone know of any lawyers that can help with small claims cases or any great resources we could look at? Any help would be great. We truly want to be as prepared as possible because these individuals need to learn that you can't just go around saying what ever you want and have no consequences.

Defending your case in small claims court, it sounds like, won't be difficult. It also doesn't require a lawyer.

But your counter-suit is a totally different matter, that cannot be brought to small claims court, unfortunately.

We actually just learned that and we are transfering to county court. They are able to hear slander and now we are trying to find a lawyer. Any ideas?
