Hey guys,

A group of buddies and I are planning a road trip to Denver (during June) for some activities and I was wondering if you guys could help me out on going to the right places. Money really isn't an issue.

We plan to zip line, white water rafting, fishing, camping (cabins or tenting area that allows wood fires), and of course recommendation for MUST-TRY food.

Preferably within a 2 hour radius of Denver.

Thanks!

For white water rafting try Clear Creek near Idaho Springs. There may be others, but it is the only place I know within two hours of Denver.

Camping around wood fires is not a given. Burning restrictions abound, are local, and change frequently. Check both state and federal parks and forest websites for locations and regulations.

What about Buena Vista or over to Salida? A little over the 2 hours, but the OP did say "preferably."

Given the current severely dry conditions in Colorado, I wouldn't count on being able have a campfire anywhere.
