If the thread is still up and open I still consider it relevant. Someone may read it and it's good to see when there's new information!

I've only flown into DIA once and it was bumpy (and for a while) but never nerve wracking. The view was so great, even if I were the type to be concerned about turbulence, I almost didn't notice.

Worst turbulence for me was Kennedy. I avoid that airport for entirely different reasons though!

I've never had a problem. Although, people have told me they have experienced a lot of turbulance. Some of it I take with a grain of salt, b/c they know I am VERY afraid of flying. But, the hubs fly back and forth 2xs a week every week for 6 months before we moved here a year ago, and he never had problems. He said there were a few bumpy rides but nothing terrifying.

Since I don't like to fly - and avoid it whenever possible - I haven't flown in and out of DIA a whole lot... only 3 trips the past year. In each of those flights I didn't have anything that caused concern. And, this is coming from someone who normally requires Xanax to fly - but couldn't take any because I was pregnant on each of those trips!

I fly in and out of Denver 2 or 3 times/month. Now that I think about it, there usually is a bit of turbulence on the way in - during the approach between 10k and 5k feet? Is it because of the mountains?

Nothing too serious, though. Overall, I'd say that Denver airport is a pretty well run, organized, easy to deal with airport without too many delays. It's big and that takes up time, plus the distance from the city, but very reliable.

My one experience was the same, though we came in from the south over the Palmer Divide, so I just assumed it was some kind of thermal variation between the slightly higher Palmer Divide and the lower land near DIA. It was bumpy but I've been on roads that were far bumpier.
