I'm going to a concert at Red Rocks this coming weekend and was curious if anyone here has slept in their car after a concert and if it's ok at Red Rocks?

I don't want to drink and drive but cabs seem rather expensive when you consider I'd have to go back for my car in the morning...

So either don't drink. Have a DD or other arrangement. There is no "but...." here.

I can't imagine it being a problem. But be sure you keep your ticket. So you can prove to any cop that might knock on your window in the middle of the night, that you were at the concert and weren't drinking and driving.

Per the Red Rocks Website:
The park is open from 5 am to 11 pm.
No overnight camping allowed.

Based on that, I'd say no go. You could camp at Bear Creek State Park a couple of miles down the road at C-470 and Morrison Rd.

Default Red Rocks "

Going to a Red Rocks show? There's a shuttle for that

The Denver shuttle leaves from Union Station 30 minutes prior to the event door time, the Boulder shuttle leaves from Lazy Dog on Pearl Street 60 minutes before door time and the Fort Collins shuttle leaves from The Main Line Ale House 90 minutes before door time.

Default Red Rocks Transit

I've seen a few people ask the best or cheapest way to Red Rocks when visiting Denver and not renting a car, or not wanting to drive if drinking.

This is a pretty good option, and a good price for a round trip. ($30). Remember for future posts...

Glad to see more options to Red Rocks for concerts, there's nothing like trying to decide who has to be the DD for a good show. I was stuck as the chauffeur far too many times. So, there's the shuttle above or...

And here's another one that I used to take from 1UP on Colfax (but now I think the pickup is downtown), they go to many Front Range shows at multiple venues and even to music festivals in the mountains....

You can take a bus from Denver to Evergreen for $5. I'm not sure why this has to cost $15 other than to gouge drunken concert goers.

$5 pivate bus or city bus? RTD's schedule is limited, and doesn't stop at Red Rocks to my knowledge.

A planned $30 RT is not a gouge, and far cheaper than a taxi/Uber after a shot.

RTD runs the bronco bus for $10 round trip. There's no reason they couldn't service red rocks on concert nights as well. I'm sure there would be enough demand to fill a couple buses. Or run a shuttle from the Gov't Center light rail station.
