Denver loft rentals?
Are there any decent rental lofts around the downtown area or are they all pretty much recent college grad dorm/trashy type places? I think it would be nice to be in the area and have all the space and amenities, but not sure if it would be worth it. Looking to stay under $1400 (ideally less than that) for a 2 BR, 2 Bath. Recommendations welcome! I'm 26/f with a roommate - we want to be able to enjoy the nightlife but not over-do it..
Also looking at places in the Highlands, and maybe a couple around Capitol Hill, etc.
Sorry if this topic has been covered before but I'm pressed for time!! Thanks!

Ballpark? -LoDo is one of the more expensive sub-markets in the Denver area. Lofts can go for more than $300 a square foot!

Capitol Hill and Uptown are very diverse. There are nice new loft buildings there, there are older smaller apartments, and then there are houses broken into apartments. You have your young professionals, dirty hippies, college students, older professionals, some familys, and so on. When I lived in Capitol Hill there were tons of newer lofts that were built that would be clean. It isn't all trashy college students. Its a city, so there is a mix of everything. I don't know what you will do in Lodo with 1400 or less for a two room. Maybe try Cherry Creek also. It is further out of the center city area, but it is highscale if you prefer that.

The lofts around the Ballpark are cheaper than those in LoDo. There are a number of all-rental lofts there, and while they're expensive, they're not totally out of reach.
Cap Hill and Uptown are going to be MUCH cheaper than Lodo or Ballpark, but "real" lofts are not that common there -- that area is mostly condos with some loft-like condos.
The loft buildings anywhere in Downtown Denver are quite honestly too expensive to attract the party crowd, though you'll see lots of party-crowds out on the streets in Lodo on the weekends.
