Better yet, come to Phoenix where summer temps range from 108-115! My family and I visited during the summer and loved the Denver summers in comparison. Yes, it did get into the high 90s, but the cool down in the evening was wonderful.

I went to Texas for friends wedding and as soon as I got off the plane my makeup dripped off, my hair was straight, my clothes were wet. The intense heat and humidity I got so dizzy.

Finally got to the hotel room and AC was not even enough to keep me cool because it was so humid. I don't know what the day temps were but they claimed it cooled off at night and it didn't it was still in the mid 80's to 90's!

After that wedding I swore I would never go back to Texas. I assume all the states down south are as bad.

It's still hot out - Denver has set a record this year for number of days in a season over 90º. From the Denver Post:

Denver's hot streak hits 70 Tuesday, hot temps linger until Friday
Quote:
Denver is expected to cool off later this week, but it could still continue to extend its record for days of at least 90 degrees Thursday and Monday.

The city pushed its record of days in the 90s this year to 70 Tuesday, when the high reached 92 degrees at 2:52 p.m. at Denver International Airport.

Before this long, hot summer, the record for high of at least 90 degrees was 61 set in 2000. Denver's 30-year average is 33 days in the 90s. . .

As of today ( 9-6 ), Grand Junction has had 81 days this year when the temp has hit at least 90 degrees. This is the highest number of 90 degree days since I moved to Grand Junction in '06. Denver is not too far behind. The discrepancy between these two locations is usually more significant than it is this year.

Every day over 90 now is part of the record. Let's hope there are no more.

Maybe Monday.

I'm starting to feel the fall chill in the air. Can't wait for snow!
