What area in Denver to buy a house?
Hi all,
I am relocating to Colorado (don't know exactly when)... and I was wondering what parts of Denver are good? I am looking for safe, clean, nice neighborhoods. But.... we want to buy a small humble house probably spend less then $150K and put a lil TLC into it. What areas would you recommend to someone? I don't want to be where there are gangs or a lot of crime (I've been reading some of the posts and it sounds a little scary)
But I'd like to be near shopping and activities.
Thanks for any help!!!

I think on where you selltle will depend on what else is important to you. I'd suggest something within 15 minutes to work.
$150,000 will get you something small in Denver, Englewood, Lakewood, Aurora, Thornton, Northglenn, Broomfield, Arvada, Wheat Ridge....
Check the local criminal activity with the local police department.

$150K is on the pretty low end of the market. You can likely find something in that price range, but finding one in a good neighborhood may be more the challenge. It probably can be done, it just may take some looking.

You need to line up a realtor and tell him/her your needs and wants in a home. It is hard to define certain areas as "good" or "bad" as most are neither all one or the other.

I am not sure if you can get a good area for 150K in Denver but mid/central Aurora is a possibility.
