We are hoping that it is very kid friendly, as we have three small kids. Also, we are having the WORST time trying to find a home to rent until we decide to buy or build there! Anyone have any help? We want a newer, or nice, 3+ bedroom, 2+ bathroon home. We have a pug and a lab as well. If anyone has any ideas or info on renting a home, PLEASE feel free to email me-jtscranton@hotmail.com

Thanks!

did you look at vrbo- I would bet you may be able to find an owner who will let you rent for a few months/ a year. There are lots of people in Winter Park/Fraser/Granby/Tabernash who may rent to a responsible family. good luck
also check Craigslist

maybe we can consolidate your 2 postings- i get confused when I go to the main colorado page and then back to denver. I keep second guessing that I actually posted to you then realize i did it under the denver forum!

Default Grandy is nice if....

you like the cold. Honestly, the weather is beautiful from mid-May to October at the latest. You better like snow. If you're looking for a laid back and slower life, then Granby/Grand Elk would be nice. Many more second/summer homes than year around permanent residents. Call Donna Ready and Mountain Lake properties for a fair assessment of the area. She's been there for many years and knows the area very well.

Not yesterday! (10/14) I had to go up there yesterday (for work) and got stuck in Berthoud Pass, so I never got there. Very disappointing to say the least.

Did you get stuck on Berthoud Pass because it was closed, or because you didn't have good snow tires?

Probably both, I saw some people continuing on, and some turning around, my van was struggling (no snow tires, just michelin all-seasons), so I decided to follow the turning-around group, everyone turning around told me to turn around.
