I found a cute, lender owned, condo at 5401 Warren Ave; I would appreciate any opinions on the neighborhood. Would you need a car? Is there good shopping? Any crime problems? What is nearby?

Thanks to everyone for participating. Go Rockies.

It is a nice area, I have worked there for a bit and got to meet many people from that area. Overall, good people, mostly older neighborhood. It is close to I-25, Colorado Blvd and Evans. this really would connect you to almost anyplace you want to go with major streets.

Many places/shops on Colo. Blvd. (Safeway, Circuit City, Target north on Colo Blvd., and many many others).

I agree that it's a nice, older neighborhood. Actually, it's close to where I grew up. However, it's interesting (?) to note that there is a Janitorial Supply business -- Brite Cleaning -- listed at the same address, according to a Google search. It made me wonder who the other building tenants are.

Have you actually gone to see the unit, or are you working entirely from photos on the internet?

P.S. I'm assuming the full address is 5401 EAST Warren Ave, which would fall within 80222. In Denver, all addresses on the east-west running avenues are always listed with either EAST (E) or WEST (W) as part of the address.
