So every year I buy a ton of school supplies and donate them to kids who otherwise wouldn't have them. Where do you recommend here in Denver that does that?? TIA

Thank you for doing this. In every school there are students whose families cannot afford the basics. In some schools that is the majority, in other schools only a few kids are affected.

Many of the stores will have bins in place to donate materials.

You can adopt a student through Denver Human Services or donate to the Jeffco Action Center.

9News has a Stuff for Students drive every year in conjunction with Walmart.

Your local school will also gladly take your donation.

I think I'm going to do the walmart one on Saturday. It's right by my work but I hope the there's not a time limit as I get out of work around 6. Anyone know if there's a specific time on this?

Holy crap. They need to fire a manager named Lisa at the drop off Walmart on Wads and Colfax. I cannot believe the way I was just spoken to. I've just emailed corporate about this. I hope they record their phone calls as I was hung up on after being transferred to the 3rd person and after calling back and getting Lisa she completely disrespected me.

By the way no management person has ANY IDEA they are a drop off location for school supplies on Saturday!! How is that even possible????

^^Sorry you had a bad experience when trying to do something good!

Here is a resource for Boulder County residents:

Crayons to Calculators | Impact on Education

This link Crayons to Calculators provides school supplies to low-income students - Colorado Hometown Weekly has a list of collection sites. They also take money.

The GM of the Walmart called me that day. I hope he corrects that situation. It doesn't change me donating just because of some lady

This one is my fault I think.

I found the video and I linked to it without realizing that it is from last year.

They'll do it again this year, I just don't know when.
