What is the OP's question? Maybe, does Denver have any yuppie nightlife? Yes, of course, but it's very different from DC. Just explore. Denver is tiny compared to the DC area, so it won't take you long to get your bearings.

That could change though when they build the retail center around the rail station which is supposed to be more like Belmar with housing integrated with the shops/dining.

Social life in Denver depends on your scene. More young trendy/yuppie is Lodo and Lower Highland. More older yuppie is Cherry Creek. More hipster is Capitol Hill. More artsy is Santa Fe or RiNo. There is the college scene around DU, and obviously a lot more so in Boulder.

Have you checked out Westword? It's the local rag with a HUGE calendar of events, bar/club listings and reviews, and pretty much anything you want to know about nightlife in Denver.
