5 Things You Need To Know About Buc-ee’s « CBS Dallas / Fort Worth

Maybe not everyone in Texas, but there are a *&^%-ton of people who act like they've hit the motherlode when a Buc-ee's opens near them. It's a lot like Californians and In-N-Out (another obsession I do not understand).

Isn't that what the Texans do? Since dressing up to them means actually putting on pants.

Yeah, nothing like an evening out to pick up some Preparation H, corn pads, and Pepto.

If CVS comes to Denver, I'll try and hold back my elation

Perhaps if you are talking about rural Texas, which is not unlike rural CO, or rural anywhere for that matter. But Houston, and especially Dallas, are far more formal and dressed up than Denver is.

I am one of the many Texans that does not get the fascination with Buc-ee's. I went to one for the first time only a few months ago and I was Meh. It's like a cross between a truck stop and a huge convenience store with cheap gas and nice bathrooms. But, it's big business for the towns where they are located. I think I just heard that Denton, which is a good sized college town North of Dallas, is paying a Buc-ee's to build a location there.
