I see a lot of posts on this site from folks thinking of moving to Colorful Colorado. My husband, 2 grown daughters and myself moved in early 2001 from California. It was the best move we have ever made. It was a little tough at first because the economy was a little rough here and finding a job after 9/11 was about impossible.

The best advice I can give is to rent a hotel room for a couple of weeks or even a month near Denver. Then just drive around during rush hour (which really only lasts about an hour here) and non rush hour and get a feel for the different areas. It's OK to talk to people, they are very friendly everywhere here and will tell you their opinions about different cities and neighborhoods.

Make the move, you won't regret it!!!!!

I am so glad to read your post! I am thinking of relocating to Wheat Ridge as well. How are the winters there?

Default Winters in Co

I moved here from Fl. 20 years ago, and the winters are pretty mild. It snows a bit, but the average tem is 50 with no humidity, and over all it's not bad at all. Nothing like Michigan or NY or anywhere like that. I grew up in NY and PA.
