Default Safe Hotels Near Arvada

I'm moving to Arvada this week, and I'll be staying in a hotel until my apartment becomes available.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a hotel in Arvada. I saw in a previous post from Livecontent that there was an Extended Stay, but my Internet search didn't find it.

Could anyone recommend a few hotels that are in a safe area near Arvada? I'd like to stay w/in 15 mins of Arvada, if possible. My main concern, though, is being where it's unlikely that my car will be stolen (because I'll have a lot of stuff in my trunk!)

As for budget, nothing higher than $125/night if possible.

The extended stay hotel in Arvada is Savannah Suites Savannah Suites It is on the Eastern Edge of Arvada. The hotel is new but I think the parking lot, especially in the back is too hidden, though there is limited parking in the front.

I would suggest that you stay in a hotel in Westminster. This area is adjacent to the Northeast corner of Arvada, near the Westminster Mall.

There is a Doubletree Hotel at hwy. 36 and Sheridan Doubletree Hotel Westminster Colorado - Denver CO Hotels
The nice thing about this hotel is that it is acrossed the street from the Westminster Public Safety Center----The Police.

Just right up the road, next to the Westminster Park and Ride is the Marriot Residence Inn North Residence Inn Denver North/Westminster: Spacious suites and amenities for longer stays

and next to it is a Hampton Inn Hampton Inn Denver-Northwest/Westminster

Again the Residence Inn and the Hampton Inn are just down the road from the new large police headquarters and there is police traffic up and down the road all the time. If I were a thief, I would not target this area for crime.

There are cheaper hotels on the edge of Arvada, down on Kipling, South of the I-70 interchange, which is in Wheat Ridge. I do not suggest these as for the safest places.

If you stay in Westminster, from the Park n Ride, you can get a express bus east Downtown Denver or west to Boulder, on a regional rate, east bound across the pedestrial bridge, west on the side near your hotel. The bus runs from Boulder and it is the B bus. It runs along the highway with no stops until downtown Denver, it runs west to Boulder with stops along the highway, with a few stops. You can take this bus right to the end, Downtown Boulder or get off stops near the University. See RTD website The Regional Transportation District Home Page It is listed on the Regional Bus Scheldules and you can look for the Westminster Park n' Ride to get other buses.

Livecontent
Your information was invaluable, Livecontent. Thank you!

I made my reservations for the Residence Inn on 88th Pl. What luck to have found a hotel that has a full kitchen! The rooms look more than comfortable, and I'm relieved to know it's so close to Police Headquarters. I would've never uncovered THAT juicy tid-bit on my own.

Also, thanks for the RTD info. for Westminster. No matter how difficult it'll be, I'm going to master the bus system. This isn't going to be easy for me, I've never lived in an area w/ mass transit. This is one (of many) reasons that I chose Denver. I love your "rants" about RTD, by the way. It's inspired me! As a matter of fact, I chose the apartment I'll be living in because it's 0.9 miles to the Park N Ride in Arvada.

Have a wonderful afternoon!

P.S. Good luck on finding that Barbie of yours!
