Sprouts AD - Arvada... and to think I just paid $1.49/pound for California peaches in Eugene, OR....and I thought I got a bargain vs others charging up to $2.98 (Wal Mart)...and Sprouts is selling 'em at $.88 !

You folks are sooo fortunate to live where Sprouts has a presence.

I'm not living under any illusions that I'm getting a deal. It's just so close it's hard for me to go anywhere else.

I agree..I love Sprouts..They recently did a buyout of Sunflower Markets so their presence is even greater in
the Denver/Aurora/Boulder area...

From the Aug. 2013 Readers Digest:
"Was gonna buy a new car but got my groceries for the week at Whole Foods instead. @ikebarinholtz"

Gave me a good laugh because I knew this thread was going on.

Do any of the Whole Foods in the area have a bar? There are 2 here in the PHX area that have great craft beers on tap, fill growlers, etc. I'm sure there are other places in the area that do that, I just always loved being able to kill 2 birds with one stone when grocery shopping...

I shop at WF here in Nashville, TN and was interested in this post as I'm moving to Denver soon. It's good to have other options (than just WF) but I only buy produce and stuff from their bulk bins (beans, rice, etc) that it's really not too bad. I'd like to check out some alternatives to WF when I get to Denver, Walmart is definitely not going to be one of them. There's something wrong with a company that can afford to give tons of money as to other organizations and events, etc (yes tax deductible, I know) but have a huge number of their employees on public assistance. I'm looking forward to checking out small, locally owned health food stores and grocery stores.

Just because it is for sale at a whole foods, doesn't mean it is automatically good for you. My wife and I shop at Walmart for dry goods, cleaning products, etc and then get our produce and such as Soopers. We eat just fine and reasonably healthy. We do not buy anything out of the frozen foods section and rarely eat meat.

I agree with others that WF tends to be expensive and I believe they are preying on people who think that just because it is sold at a WF that it is automatically healthy. This goes for anywhere you go. There are premade salad mixes out there with more calories than a cheeseburger.

Sprouts and Vitamin Cottage are good alternatives to Wholefoods for organic food..

Sprouts has best prices from a consistency standpoint in comparison to WF...There are multiple locations
in the Denver metro area.

I shop at WF as well but only if I am craving a steak or fresh seafood for my wife.

Hard to beat WF if you are shopping for fresh steak or seafood but anything else you can simply get elsewhere for lower prices.
