Has any anyone every had a pet shipped form the east coast to Denver? How did you do it? Who did you use? How much did it cost? How was the experience? Would you do it again? I have 3 dogs I need to move to Aurora once my house is finished. My wife is already there, so that leaves me with packing up the house in pods, and finding a way to get our pets to our new home. My car is not big enough for 200lbs. of dogs plus all my computer equipment and golf clubs. We won't be moving till the end of September middle of October. Flying them that far is really not an option. Wife's rule. She would probably have a nervous breakdown worrying if they will make it.

Talk to your wife again about flying, it may be the easiest and possible cheapest option.

My two dogs flew from Switzerland to Florida and were fine.

When I moved from the UK to Switzerland we used a Pet transporter that had a special truck. That was a two day journey (I think) and wasn't cheap.

Why can't you ship your golf clubs and computer equipment and take dogs in the car? Contact FedEx or UPS for that.

Ship the computer equipment and golf clubs. Drive the dogs. You can always replace things but if something happens to the dogs you can't replace them.

Default Co2

Pack the dogs in dry ice and drive fast.
Works with lobsters.

You could try finding a pet shipper through their Association at this website:

Personally I would never fly my dogs, but people do. If you head over to the dog forum and search on shipping dogs there is lots of good info.

Right!

Is this a joke? You have room for golf clubs and computer equipment, but not your dogs?

Shipping animals is very expensive. Most Pet Carrier companies will only move via air. I would definitely ship your computer and golf clubs and drive the dogs. It will be far less expensive.

Here are a few pet transport companies (I've used them all, work for a moving/relo company):

Cosmopolitan Canine Carriers, Inc. - Global Pet Relocation Specialists Since 1972
Pet Transportation Worldwide by Air Animal
WorldCare Pet Transport

You can also check with the airlines, they will take direct bookings from individuals, I would try United and Continental. Southwest doesn't do it. Your most economical way is to ship your goods and drive the pets.

Okay that seriously came out wrong. I never intended to convey that my dogs are less important than my computers and golf clubs. I have thought of other things, like renting a mini van and loading the dogs in there and shipping the car. The car is small and will not fit 3 large dogs comfortably for 1750 miles. I will check out some of the information others have posted. Thank you
