Cool, thanks everyone for your responses. Most of what we have furniture-wise is just crap - "Early Ikea" as I call the style, so I don't think we'll be bringing that!

I'll stick with the sentimental favorites and the newer, nicer stuff.

Hubby will be out in December to work and scout out the neighborhoods we didn't get to check out last year.

rkb0305 - I shutter to think what house my husband would pick out if left to his own devices, LOL!

Thanks! I can't wait to get to Denver, you all are great!

I'd say that a surfboard is an easy ditch...not much need for one in Colorado!

Seriously, though, consider donating your books. They are heavy and cost a fortune to move. The Denver Metro area has wonderful libraries.

It somewhat depends on who is paying for the move. If a company is moving you, you might consider taking along some of the "Early IKEA" stuff, just to have something until you get settled. Even if you are paying for moving it, look at replacement cost vs moving cost before you chuck it all, or even most.

Default Stuff

Hi Kimmer -

I lived in Hawaii for a long time and knew I would miss living there. I bought a lot of T-shirts, sweatshirts, polo shirts, etc., from restaurants, bars, surf shops, that I frequented which helped with remember good times and spark conversations with people who have also lived/been there. Good luck!

When I put my home on the market I am selling all of it with it like washer, dryer, toys, tools, fridge, freezer & swimming pool (inground, won't move).

I will take the kids, tv's, furniture, beds, computers, clothes, cars, bank account numbers and smiles

You may find the buyer doesn't want all of the above. Some of those things are very person-specific (toys, tools) and they may already have a W/D, fridge, freezer which they want to keep.

Yea, the toys and tools are more for Craigslist.
